This policy explains how UP Exterior Cleaning, trading as UP Exterior Cleaning (formerly Under Pressure), collects and uses personal data when you contact us, request a quote, or use this website.

What data we collect

• Quote requests — name, address or postcode, phone number, email address, details of the work required, and any photographs you upload of the property.
• Contact form and email — name, contact details and the content of your message.
• Phone and WhatsApp — your number and the content of the conversation, where you contact us by these means.
• Website usage — where you have given consent, analytics data such as pages visited and general device information, and, where enabled, advertising identifiers for measuring ad performance. See our Cookie Policy for full detail.

Why we use your data and our lawful basis

• Providing quotes and carrying out work — necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and to perform that contract (contract).
• Responding to enquiries — our legitimate interest in answering questions and running our business (legitimate interests).
• Marketing communications — only where you have given consent, or as permitted for existing customers regarding similar services, with an opt-out on every message (consent / legitimate interests).
• Analytics and advertising cookies — only where you have given consent through our cookie banner (consent).
• Legal and accounting obligations — for example keeping invoices for tax purposes (legal obligation).

How long we keep data

We keep enquiry and quote data for as long as reasonably needed to respond and to allow for follow-up, and customer and invoicing records for as long as required by law. In practice we keep unsuccessful enquiries and quote requests for 24 months, customer job records for 6 years after the last job, and invoices and accounting records for 6 years plus the current tax year, in line with HMRC requirements. Maintenance reminder subscriptions are kept until you ask us to stop, and marketing consent records are kept for 24 months from the last contact.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We may share data with service providers who help us run the business, such as website hosting, form handling, email, and — where enabled — analytics or advertising platforms. The processors currently in use are: our website hosting and database platform (which stores quote requests, customer and property records), our transactional email provider (which sends quote confirmations and maintenance reminders), and — only after you accept analytics or advertising cookies — Google Analytics and Google Ads. We do not transfer personal data outside the UK or EEA except where those providers do so under UK-approved safeguards.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Ask for access to the personal data we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Ask us to delete your data, in certain circumstances.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Ask for your data in a portable format, where relevant.
• Withdraw consent at any time, including changing your cookie preferences.
