Accessibility statement

We want anyone to be able to read about our work and get a quote, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

What we do

  • Text and background colours are chosen to stay readable at normal contrast levels.
  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone — links, buttons and forms are reachable in order and show a visible focus outline.
  • Photographs carry written alt text describing what the picture actually shows.
  • Pages use proper headings, lists and landmarks so screen readers can navigate them.
  • The site is built mobile-first and reflows when text is enlarged or the screen is small.
  • Form fields have visible labels and plain-English error messages.

Known limitations

We would rather be honest about the parts that are not perfect yet:

  • The before-and-after sliders are drag-based. They can be moved with the keyboard, but the experience is better with a mouse or touchscreen. Both photographs are described in the caption so no information is lost.
  • The interactive project map relies on JavaScript. A plain text list of the towns we cover and the projects shown on the map is published on the same page underneath it.
  • We have not commissioned a formal third-party WCAG 2.2 AA audit. Our testing is our own, using keyboard navigation, browser zoom and screen reader spot checks.

If something is hard to use

Tell us and we will fix it, and in the meantime we will give you the information another way — over the phone, by email or in writing.

We aim to reply within two working days. If you are not happy with our response, please say so in your reply and UP Exterior Cleaning will look at it again.
